Wild Rabbit

I was doing my  morning jog at our neighborhood  when I spotted this baby bunny.  I stopped running, took out my cellphone and I zoomed in so I could take a photo of him.  Zooming  the camera in my cellphone did not do justice so I started advancing towards him very slowly.

Oh bunny, oh bunny
please don't hop away.
I am just seconds away,
oh bunny please stay..
I am almost there
I'll be so happy if you stay.
Yippeeee bunny baby
Thank you for posing for me.

Furr Babies at Play #jackrussellterrier

Winter  is here so  our dogs  are stuck inside the house.  Once in a while, we let them out and they chase each other  in the snow.  The p following photos were take  during the summer this year.  Our Jack Russell Terrier, Champ love  o play with this rubber ball so much.  He would do anything  just to get his balls.  I love challenging him so sometimes, I would hang the ball in our  crab apple and let him;  him get it.  It's a good exercise for him.
Believe me, he would not stop until he gets it even if he get so tired, he would end up grabbing his ball.  Now, Bolt could easily reach the ball because he is tall but he doesn't care about it, hall he cares about is his Frisbee.  I guess, dogs are just like humans with personal preferences on stuff.
Champ love playing goalie and he also love  catching the Frisbee.  How about you, do you have pets?  What do they like to do?

Training Your Dog Using e Collar

Dogs want to be a significant part of their owner's life. However, they do have bad habits, just like humans. Teaching a dog how to avoid bad behavior will keep them happier in knowing that their master is pleased. By using a proven method of stimulation control, training becomes simple and convenient.
Teaching a dog to stay within boundaries can be done by utilizing an invisible fence, but this type of method does little to control nuisance barking, failure to respond to calls, or jumping on people. By training your dog using an e collar, all of these problems can be addressed through different stimulation controls on a mounted collar. The owner is in control of how little or how much stimulation is needed.

Models come in a variety of distance ranges, up to a mile away. Dogs like to rummage in new territory and sometimes a master's voice is not enough to persuade them to return on command. With an e collar from a reputable company like Dogtra, a short stimulation of harmless vibration, will get their attention.

Raising a dog is a big responsibility and one that requires great time and effort. But once a dog is aware of the rules and what is expected, they can become an invaluable companion. Make training less intense for everyone involved by using a patented, proven method with the right tools.

Bumble Bee when Sleeping

I have a lot of plants in my garden that bumble bees love.  Sometimes you would see them sleeping inside  the flowers.  This  daylily is just one of them.

Humming Bird

We got inspired to buy a hummingbird's feeder because of the one that my FIL had in his back porch.  Since we have  one that  visits us once  in a while, we thought maybe he would hang out in our  porch more often if he sees it.

On the first day, nobody came but the next day, he came and the next day after that, and almost everyday, he would come.

I can't wait for the next summer so we could enjoy this   minute  fluttery bird.

Dog Puzzle

One of my daughter's favorite favorite puzzle is the dog.  Every time she would do this, she would call our dogs and they would hang out with her  until she's done.  I find it really neat!

We have so many puzzles, there are complicated ones and there are also that are easy.

Grasshopper

We found this young fella at the garden center  at Lowe's  a couple of months ago.

I found him so cute that I asked hubby to let him walk in his finger so I could take more  photos of him so here you go.

Isn't he the cutest thing?  This grasshopper always reminds me of the movie "A Bug's Life".  Have you seen it?

Comfortable Pad for Our Fur Babies

Champ and Bolt has been enjoying their new  pad  that we bought recently.  I threw away the old one that  were using because it was getting so hard to clean.

The next thing that I want to buy for them is a bigger crate because our  dog, Bolt, is getting big  for the  large crate that we have right now.

They sleep at the basement ever since we threw away the  chair that they used to sleep in.  I am glad they have a comfortable pad to  lay in during night time.

Halloween Critter Visitor

Alright, in my  7 years of living at our home, I have never encountered any  invading critter such as  this little guy.  It happened two days before Halloween.  My husband was putting the dogs to their bed  when he heard a noise at our laundry room.  At first he thought that  someone had break in to our  basement and he got  cautious.  He run upstairs, grab a bat, and called me to come with him as he heard some noise at the basement.  I went with him, we inspect the laundry room and  I saw the  filter moving at our heater.  And there we discovered it was a bat, a baby bat.  We let him loose by  pulling out the  filter and he  flew  at the bottom of our basement stairs.

At first I said I can catch him and then I got scared when I saw his pangs hissing at me lol.  Hubby would not fit at the bottom of the stairs so I had to do it.  It was my first face to face encounter  with a bat so I was shaking.  I used the mop to pin him down but he managed to crawl at the small hole of the  of the concrete so I could not grab him even with a plastic as  he would  open up his mouth every time he hears the plastic.

Hubby gave me a tool to grab him but the hole was too small so I used a twizzer to grab  his lower lip.  He fought so hard but I dragged him out.  I am shaking as I am typing this lol.  I was literally terrified as the bat face reminds me of the horror movie I have watched when I was a kid that lingered in my mind.  My husband said I am so brave for catching it lol.

We  suspected that the bat  came from the fruit orchard that our neighbor has.  He probably got cold and flew to yr chimney to get warmed but he fell inside our  heater.  Glad he did not die as it would have stunk inside.  I just find it creepy  that a bat would come to our house on Halloween time.  Glad we got him out.

Wild Life Ranch Petting Zoo, San Antonio Texas

These photos were taken at  the Wild Life Ranch Petting Zoo in San Antonio, Texas last June.  This is the last thing we did after we  roam around the wide  Wild Life and see  amazing critters via our car.  This was our first time going to a zoo where you have to drive to see the animals, it was huge!  Kids won't be satisfied if they can't pet the animals right?  They were very excited to see and pet the goats.

While they were inside the petting zoo, I took some photos of the critters nearby.  Below are the  ring-tailed lemurs (lemur catta) relaxing at their cozy cottage.
And this  gigantic chimpanzee was showing his masculinity to us, he was climbing around his  cage.

Turtle and Praying Mantis Statues

Bellow are some critter statues that we saw at Pittsburgh Zoo from the previous years that we visited there.
They did a great job molding this giant turtle.  This turtle is looking so proud hehehe.

Also love this grasshopper who is standing tall at the entrance of the Kids Zoofari.

The praying mantis reminds me of the movie Flick.

Fresh Greens for the Bunnies

Our bunnies are spoiled.  We feed them fresh veggies from our garden.  In fact, the red  radishes that we  planted was  for them and they enjoyed every piece of them.  They love eating greens.  Sometimes we would buy them a head of lettuce and they love munching on that.

If you would recall from my previous post, our female's bunny's name is  Matilda and  the  male one  is Wubzy.

I will have to buy a hay to lay in their bed  for winter.  I feel bad leaving them outside but they cause allergies to my kids  when I take them in.  They are very tough though when it comes to cold weather.  Last year  was a great one for them.  I just keep replacing the hay at their bed so it isn't soaked with  urine and stay dry for them to sleep on.

Woody

One of our neighbors who is an animal lover has so many critters in their home.  They always show the kids different types of  critters, big or small.  One day, they brought the kids two  walking sticks.  They were wee little.  They said that  they grow so fast that they would be amazed to witness it.  We took  them and unfortunately, one of them died but the other one grow big.  We named him Woody.
We set woody free when  he got bigger and can no longer  move around the  container he was in.

Tiger

These photos were taken  some five years ago when we visited Pittsburgh Zoo.  This tiger was chill-laxing in the water.

I wonder  what  the animals think when they are being contained in the zoo?  Sometimes, I feel like they feel like a prisoner although the zoo is  big, it is still not great compared to their  wild life.
